Gym Policies

We strive to maintain a high standard of excellence for our gym, employees and coaches. We also provide full transparency to our students and parents regarding these policies and practices.

COVID-19 Policies

The last several months have been trying. In one way or another we have all been affected as a result of COVID-19. The safety of our athletes, families, and staff always has been and continues to be our top priority. We hope that all our families are healthy and striving for a better tomorrow.
  • All athletes must enter through the office and exit through the front gym door

  • Temperatures will be checked prior to entry

  • Coaches and athletes must sanitize at entry and exit

  • Masks are required for entry

  • Minimal hands on spotting

  • Fewer classes being held once

  • Equipment and high touch items are sanitized frequently

  • All cleaning products are approved by the CDC and EPA

For the health and safety of our coaches, students, and their families, the SEGA lobby will be closed. At this time, we ask that you watch your children through the windows outside the gym.

Annual Membership

An annual registration fee of $40 per child ($75 maximum per family) is due at the time of enrollment and renewed annually. When you enroll your child, the annual registration fee and current month’s tuition are due immediately. You may enroll in our program at any time in any class, space permitting. All fees are non-refundable.

Monthly Tuition

At the time of enrollment, all students accounts will require a debit or credit card on file, in order to pay monthly tuition. Tuition will be processed on the 5th of every month. Payments will be automatically deducted from the debit or credit card you have placed on file. In the event that an automatic payment is unsuccessful, a $10.00 fee will be imposed.

All fees are non-refundable. If your credit card is declined, Southern Elite will ask that you provide an updated card in order for your child to attend his or her next class.

Please observe the following rules when attending class regarding attire:

  1. We prefer gymnasts to wear a leotard, but shorts with a t-shirt are acceptable.

  2. The t-shirt must be tucked in completely.

  3. The leotard should not have a skirt attached.

  4. T-shirts must be long enough to be tucked in.

  5. Shoes SHOULD NOT be worn in the gym. Socks are allowed but due to the possibility of slipping are not recommended.

  6. No sports bras, tank tops, or shirts with midriff showing are allowed.

Rolling Enrollment

We are always accepting new students! You are welcome to enroll your child at any time throughout the year.

Changing Classes

Athletes are welcomed to change classes throughout the year as they progress or as their schedules change. Please contact the office and we will be happy to move your child to another class as availability allows.

Class Levels

Check out the class descriptions on the "Classes" page and see what best describes your child best. If you still have questions, feel free to contact us and we will help place them in the correct class.

Withdrawing from classes

To formally withdraw your child from class, you must notify the office by email before the 25th of the month in which you wish to end participation. Withdrawals only occur at the end of the month. We do not offer any tuition refunds. Any unpaid balances will be due upon receipt of the withdrawal request.

Making up Classes

Unfortunately, we are not able to offer make-up classes at this time, in the event that your child misses a regularly scheduled class.

In the event of inclement weather, we typically follow the Beaufort County School system. Please check our Facebook page or your email for any changes or updates. If possible, we will do our best to hold a makeup class.

Observing Your Child

**PAUSED FOR COVID-19, please review our policies**

In order to provide the most advantageous learning environment for our students and remain in compliance with our insurance policy, we ask that all parents remain in the lobby at all times. We have provided ample comfortable seating along with a live feed of the gym floor for viewing instruction and activity. Additionally, we provide free refreshments to our lobby guests.

Questions or Concerns

If at any time you have questions or concerns we ask that you respectfully address the business manager or their representative in the lobby during class times. If you wish to speak to a coach, please arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled class time, or wait until class is over. If it is an emergency, or you need access to your child or the coach immediately, please address this request to the front office staff.
